The bulk wrought
product configurations of beryllium
copper (Rod, Plate, Hollows) are manufactured by either hot
and/or cold working processes associated with rolling, extrusion, drawing,
and forging.
Freedom Alloys
exclusively utilizes a combination of highly controlled, state-of-the-art
forging processes to transform our 21 inch diameter production input
billet to precision forged beryllium copper hot worked wrought products (Rod, Plate, Hollows, and Custom Forged Products).
It should be noted
that production input billet casting is the beginning point of
the manufacturing process which eventually yields the various wrought
forms of beryllium copper. The overall input billet size, quality of
its microstructure, and consistent homogeneity, are absolutely critical
to the end quality of the finished wrought product material. Freedom
Alloys has developed a proprietary semi-continuous direct chill billet
casting process that produces an optimum sized two metric ton (21
inch Ø) beryllium copper production input billet of extraordinary
quality. |

The beryllium copper
forging technology employed by Freedom Alloys features systematically
designed forging processes, performed in precisely controlled presses
and hammers, to produce hot worked wrought products and forged shapes
with a high degree of dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and
lot-to-lot consistency.
